Floatopia 2016 took place on Saturday, April 16, 2016.
The event was located at:

The event was scheduled to last from 10 am to 6 pm.
Attendees were encouraged to “grab a float, some good people, hit the beach, relax, float, meet people, and most importantly, PROTECT THE BEACH”.
Unfortunately, the event still resulted in massive litter.
Like all other Floatopia events, the 2016 Floatopia Miami was a free event. It was open to the public, and was not tightly organized by any single party, although many promoters, musicians and other artists attended.
The event was covered by many news outlets, possibly due to the large amount of publicity and drunken revelry. There were many drunken, semi-naked photo opportunities which made for good press and publicity.
The event organizers did seem to make an honest effort to make the event a positive experience. They begged attendees to pick up after themselves, and to encourage responsible behavior.
